"To celebrate the recent return of beloved Chicago punk rock ’n rollers Downtown Struts - and the 15th anniversary of their debut EP Sail the Seas Dry - Pirates Press Records is re-pressing a few of their most essential early records!
Originally formed in 2008 in Chicago, with two members hailing from Northern California and two from the Midwest, the band set out to create honest music inspired by both the punk and Americana traditions. Their songs are passionate & melodic at heart, but delivered with drive & aggression, drawing on influences such as The Clash, Rancid, Social Distortion, Tom Petty, and Bruce Springsteen."
